Hilary was trained as a solicitor and until recently worked
as a commercial property lawyer for a large institution. Prior to
that she was a partner in a large city practice. She has now left
the law to pursue painting and other interests.
Hilary has always loved painting and has attended part time
courses at Heatherleys and Central Saint Martins’ Schools of
Art. She began exhibiting in 1998, first at the Royal Academy
Summer Exhibition and then at Llewellyn Alexander’s
‘Salon de Refuses’ where she was noted by the Financial
Times Art Critic.
In
October 1998 she had a one women exhibition at ‘Fashion
Gallery’ Little Venice and then in March 1999 participated in
the group exhibition of the Society for Art of the Imagination at
the Mall Galleries London.
